Jeep India will introduce a new and more rugged iteration of its highly-popular Compass SUV. Called the Jeep Compass Trailhawk, this new model will be the new top-spec trim of the Compass SUV packed with new features and off-road equipment. Rumors suggest that it will go on sale in coming months. Prior to its official launch, the Compass Trailhawk has been caught on camera in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan alongside the Compass’s 4WD (four-wheel-drive) variant.
Production of the Jeep Compass 4WD variant is already underway at the carmaker’s Ranjangaon facility near Pune. Official launch timeline of the new model is yet to be announced by the carmaker. Jeep Compass Trailhawk Spy Pictures
Jeep has made several changes to the exterior of the Compass Trailhawk. The front and rear bumpers of the SUV have been revised, and offer better approach, departure and breakover angle. Painted in Red shade, the bumpers also get inbuilt tow hooks. While the front bumper has dual tow hook, the rear one gets single hook setup. The SUV features blacked out Jeep badges in red accents, ‘Trail Rated’ moniker on the side fenders and a large ‘Trailhawk’ badge on the boot lid. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets a new set of dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Black and Red colour combination continues inside the cabin as well. The SUV has all black interior theme with red highlights on the leather seats upholstery and all around steering wheel, gear lever and panels. The ‘Trailhawk’ badge is embossed on the seats and dashboard. Jeep will equip the car with an updated 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Under the hood, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk will house the same 2.0-litre Multijet diesel motor that’s good enough for 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. The oil burner will be coupled to a 9-speed automatic transmission. It will also come with the 1.4-litre petrol engine paired to a 6-speed torque converter. The Selec-Terrain Traction Management System will standard, offering a new ‘Rock Mode’.
