Jeep Compass Sport Plus Variant Launched; Price Rs 15.99 lakh
The new Jeep Compass Sport Plus variant is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh for petrol and Rs 16.99 lakh for the diesel.
Jeep India has introduced a new variant of the Jeep Compass. Named the Jeep Compass Sport Plus, the new version is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh for petrol and Rs 16.99 lakh for the diesel. Positioned above the entry-level Sport variant, the new Jeep Compass Sport Plus is Rs 59,000 expensive than the entry-level model.
The new Jeep Compass Sport Plus variant is equipped with a range of new features. In terms of features, the new model gets all-wheel disc brake, dual-zone automatic climate control, electronic parking brake, reverse park assist sensors, frequency selective damping, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution and electronic roll mitigation. The Jeep Compass Sport Plus model rides on a new 16-inch silver coloured alloy wheels, black roof rails and Sport Plus badge on the tail-gate. This model also gets rear parking sensor, which is missing in the entry-level variant. Inside the cabin, the Compass Sport Plus gets a 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. However, it misses out on 7.0-inch touch infotainment, keyless entry and go and larger 17-inch alloys. The Jeep Compass Sport Plus variant is available with 2 engine options – 1.4-litre Multi-air petrol and a 2.0-litre multi-jet II diesel – producing 163bhp and 173bhp respectively. With new Sport Plus variant, Jeep is aiming to improve the sales of the Compass SUV. The Jeep Compass is facing tough competition from the likes of Tata Harrier and the Mahindra XUV500. Moreover, the segment will also welcome a new member in the form of MG Hector. Jeep is also planning to launch a new top-spec Compass TrailHawk in India. This trail-rated model will be powered by the 173bhp, 2.0-litre diesel engine paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
