We reported earlier that Jeep will launch the limited edition Compass Night Eagle in the Indian market. The company has released a new teaser video of the Compass Night Eagle ahead of its expected launch in August, 2020. For people not in the know, this is brand’s global limited edition model and is already on sale in multiple International markets.
Details about the India-spec model are yet to be revealed, but it is safe to say that the new model would come with black or dark treatment. The teaser shows the Jeep Compass Night Eagle in dark with striking LED headlamps with DRLs. The new SUV will receive black finish on the grille and on bumper, and black roof.
‘Night Eagle’ badging will be added on the side fenders and on boot lid. The SUV is likely to receive all-new 18-inch glossy black alloy wheels. The European-spec model is available 6 mono-tone colour options and 5 dual-tone colour options with blacked-out roof.
The SUV will receive an 8.4-inch U-Connect infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and new leather upholstery with contrast stitches. It is expected that the new special edition will receive new driver assistance features.
In terms of mechanics, the SUV won’t receive any changes. It will continue to be offered with the existing engine line-up – a 1.4L turbocharged petrol and a 2.0L turbocharged diesel. While the former is good for 160bhp and 250Nm of torque, the oil burner produces 173bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices includes a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (Petrol) and a 9-speed automatic (Diesel).
