Jeep Compass Gets A More Affordable Petrol Automatic Variant
The new Jeep Compass Longitude (O) AT petrol variant is priced at Rs 18.9 lakh.
Jeep India has introduced a new petrol automatic variant to its highly-popular Compass SUV model lineup. Called the Jeep Compass Longitude (O) AT petrol, the new variant gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which was earlier reserved to range-topping Limited trim.
The new Jeep Compass Longitude (O) AT petrol version has been made available at Rs 18.9 lakh, thus making it around Rs 1.07 lakh more affordable than the Compass Limited AT petrol variant that costs Rs 19.97 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Read – New Jeep Sub-4 Meter SUV In The Works
The new petrol automatic variant offers a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and automatic AC controls. It also gets projector halogen headlamps. For power, the The new Jeep Compass Longitude (O) AT petrol uses the same 1.4L motor generating 160bhp at 3750rpm and 250Nm at 1750rpm-2500rpm. Earlier, the mid-level Longitude trim was offered with a 2.0L Multijet II diesel engine that’s good enough for 170bhp at 3750rpm and 350Nm at 1750rpm – 2500rpm. Currently, the Jeep Compass lineup is available in four trims – Sport, Longitude, Limited and Limited Plus. The Sport 1.4L petrol and 2.0L diesel variants are priced at Rs 15.39 lakh and Rs 16.60 lakh respectively. While the Longitude variants are available in the price range of Rs 17.92 lakh – Rs 18.9 lakh, the Limited variants cost between Rs 19.62 lakh – Rs 22.14 lakh. The top-spec Limited Plus 1.4L petrol, 2.0L and 4X4 2.0 diesel variants are priced are Rs 21.12 lakh, Rs 21.46 lakh and Rs 22.90 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
