Jeep Compass Facelift Prices To Be Released On February 4 – Report

American SUV maker, Jeep has officially revealed the new Compass facelift in India. Bookings for the SUV will commence before the end of this year. While Jeep is yet to make an officially announcement on the launch date, a new media report claims that the 2021 Compass facelift prices will be released on February 4, 2021.

The report further claims that the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will be offered in 4 variants – Sport, Longitude Option, Limited Option and S (new range-topping variant). The SUV gets two new colours – Techno Metallic Green and Exotica Red. The other colour options include – Minimal Grey, Galaxy Blue, Bright White and Magnesio Grey.

In terms of mechanics, the Jeep Compass facelift remains the same. It features the same 1.4-litre Multi-Air turbocharged petrol and 2.0-litre Multi-Jet turbo diesel. While the former is good for 161bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. The diesel version produces 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard. The petrol version also gets a 7-speed DCT automatic unit, while the diesel version gets an optional 9-speed diesel engine.

In terms of styling changes, the Compass facelift gets a larger 7-slat grille with chrome finish, sharper and sleeker headlamps with new inserts, revised bumper and new fog lamp assembly. It gets LED lighting system, and black slat that runs across the width and surrounds the fog lamps. There is an auxiliary air inlet placed in the middle. It gets new alloys and squared wheel arches, while the rear has revised tail-lamps with new inserts and new bumper.

It gets new dual-tone black and brown interior scheme, all-new dashboard with soft-touch leather stitching, new steering wheel, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, revised instrument console, a 360 degree parking camera and re-positioned start/stop button. The SUV comes with a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UConnect5 software. This infotainment is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with voice recognition.
