The Jeep Compass mid-sized SUV has turned 5 years old in the Indian market. In order to mark the 5th anniversary, the American SUV maker will launch the new Jeep Compass 5th anniversary edition in the country. Launched in 2017, the Compass has been the most affordable Jeep in our market. The SUV has received positive response from buyers, as it is currently the best-selling Jeep model in our market.
In order to keep the Compass fresh, Jeep had introduced several limited editions as well as a mid-life facelift in the country in 2021. The company had also introduced the Night Eagle Edition of the Compass facelift earlier this year. This is basically the all-black themed trim and comes with gloss black treatment outside and inside. It comes with a gloss black front grille, 18-inch blacked-out alloys, black ORVMs, and black roof rails.
The Jeep Compass 5th Anniversary Edition is expected to receive few cosmetic changes on the exterior and minor interior updates. The teaser of the car reveals the “5th Anniversary” badge. The company hasn’t revealed any information about the new edition. The SUV could share changes in line with the Compass Night Eagle Edition. The SUV gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, push button start, ABS with EBD & Xenon projector headlamps.
The new 5th anniversary edition won’t receive any mechanical upgrades. The diesel version features the 173bhp, 2.0L turbo engine with 6-speed manual and 9-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox options. The petrol model derive power from the 163bhp, 1.4L turbo gasoline unit that’s offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The AWD system is offered on the automatic variants.
