Classic Legends, Mahindra’s subsidiary, has finally revived the popular Jawa brand in India. The company has launched 3 new motorcycles – Jawa, Jawa forty two and Jawa Perak. The Perak is a factory custom motorcycle, which comes with Bobber-like styling. It features a bigger engine, matte black finish and single-seat. Priced at Rs 1.89 lakh, the motorcycle will come as a flagship offering. Initially, the company will only sale the Forty Two and Jawa, while the Perak motorcycle will go on sale at a later date.

Jawa plans to have 105 dealerships across different cities in India. Out of these 105, 64 dealerships will be operational from the beginning of December with test drives and deliveries will commence from early 2019. Bookings for the Perak will open on a later stage. It features a matte back finish, bar-end mirrors, leather saddle, Bybre dual disc brakes and Bobber-like tail-end.

This factory-fitted custom bike will sit above the two other Jawa motorcycles. This stylish looking Bobber is powered by a bigger 334cc engine. The new motorcycle will go on sale at a later date and has been priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Jawa Perak Specifications

The factory custom Jawa Perak is propelled by a 343cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. This engine is capable of producing 30.4bhp of power and 31Nm of torque. The powertrain has the same stroke that is available in the 293cc engine, but it has bigger bore. The other Jawa’s features a 293cc engine producing 27bhp and 28Nm of torque. Jawa Perak Mileage

The company hasn’t revealed the fuel efficiency of this model, but we believe it should deliver around 30kmpl.

Jawa Perak Suspension & Braking

This motorcycle features a different subframe and suspension setup at the rear. Instead of gas-charged twin-shock absorbers, the Perak Bobber comes with a monoshock suspension setup. It continues to feature the conventional telescopic forks at the front. The motorcycle features disc brakes at the front and rear as well. It also gets a single-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System).

Jawa Perak Design

The Jawa Perak looks completely different from the Jawa and Jawa forty two. Featuring Bobber styling, the motorcycle gets a low and long stance. The motorcycle is wrapped in a matte black finish, though the bike is likely to receive more color options at the time of launch. Instead of chrome treatment, the motorcycle gets matte black treatment. The Perak is a single-seater motorcycle, which comes with a different toolbox design. Some of the design highlights include a floating seat, bar-end mirrors, chopped fenders, flat handlebar, flared mudguards, matte finish for the exhaust and engine casing and spoked wheels.
