Jawa Motorcycles will officially start delivering the new Perak bobber in India from July 20, 2020. The company has shared 3 images with secret message on social media. The price of the Perak Factory Custom motorcycle was revealed in November 2019. The custom Bobber was priced at Rs 1.94 lakh (ex-showroom).
Interested buyers can pre-book the new Jawa Perak Bobber online by paying an initial amount of Rs 10,000. With this motorcycle, Jawa will be targeting enthusiasts looking for an economic Bobbet. It will be the most expensive Jawa in India.
Powering the new Perak Bobber is a 343cc, single-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 30bhp of power and 31Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The Jawa and Forty Two are powered by a 293cc engine that is good for 27bhp and 28Nm of torque.
The motorcycle is built on the double craddle chassis that also underpins the new Classic and the Forty Two. The Perak Bobber rides on 18-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel shod with 100/90 and 140/70 section tyres respectively. The motorcycle weighs 179kg and has a fuel tank of 14-litres.
Braking duties will be carried out by a 280mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. Adding to it, dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) is available as standard. Suspension mechanism comprises of conventional telescopic front forks and monoshock at the rear. Some of the features include single-seat setup, tear-drop fuel tank, round-shaped headlamps, flared mudguards, etc.
