The much-awaited Jawa Perak motorcycle has been launched in the market at Rs 1,94,500 (ex-showroom). The motorcycle was showcased a year ago and was priced at Rs 1.89 lakh.
Targeting motorcycle enthusiasts looking for an economic Bobber, the new Perak is the most expensive Jawa in India.
Powering the new Jawa Perak factory custom Bobber is a 343cc, single-cylinder DOHC engine that is capable of producing 30bhp of power and 31Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.
The Jawa Perak is based on the double craddle chassis that also underpins the new Jawa Classic and the Jawa Forty Two. The Bobber rides on 18-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel shod with 100/90 and 140/70 section tyres at the front and rear respectively.
The Perak has a wheelbase of 1485mm and has a seat height of 750mm. It has a kerb weight of 179kg, and comes with a fuel tank of 14-litres.
The Jawa Perak comes with dual-disc brakes with 280mm disc at the front and 240mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS system is available as standard.
The factory-custom Jawa Perak Bobber has a single-seat setup and retro-modern styling. Suspension mechanism comprises of conventional telescopic front forks and monoshock at the rear.
The Jawa Perak 334cc motorcycle has tear-drop tank, low-slung chassis, round-shaped headlamps, bar-end mirrors, flared mudguards, matte finish for the exhaust and engine casing and spoked wheels.
