Jawa Perak 334cc Bobber Launched At Rs 1.95 Lakh
Classic Legends has finally launched the much-awaited Jawa Perak Bobber in the Indian market at Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle was showcased a year ago (was announced at Rs 1.89 lakh) alongside the Jawa Classic and the Forty Two. The new Jawa Perak targets motorcycle enthusiasts looking for an economic Bobber. It is also the most expensive Jawa motorcycle in the country. Bookings for the new motorcycle will commence from January 2020.
The Perak and other two Jawa bikes share the same double craddle platform. It is powered by a bigger and more powerful engine, which is a bored down version of the 293cc single-cylinder engine. The Jawa Perak is powered by a 343cc, single-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 30.4bhp of power and 31Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.
The factory-custom Jawa Perak Bobber comes with a single-seat setup and retro-modern styling. Instead of gas-charged twin-shock absorbers available in Jawa and Forty Two, the Bobber gets a monoshock suspension at the rear. At the front, it features the conventional telescopic forks. For braking, the Jawa Perak gets a dual-disc brake setup with a 280mm disc at the front. The motorcycle also gets dual-channel ABS system as standard. The Perak features blacked-out alloys with Pirelli-sourced tyres that will give enhanced road-grip and improved performance.
In terms of styling, the Jawa Perak factory custom Bobber gets tear-drop tank, low-slung chassis and floating single-seat. Some of the cycle parts and instrument console are sourced from the regular Jawa bikes. The motorcycle has chopped fenders, exposed rear end, round-shaped headlamp and bar-end mirrors. Instead of chrome treatment, the motorcycle gets matte black treatment. Other design highlights include flat handlebar for relaxed riding position, flared mudguards, matte finish for the exhaust and engine casing and spoked wheels.
