Ahead of its unveiling at the 2014 Paris Motor Show tomorrow, Jaguar has released all the details and new pictures of the 2015 Jaguar XE saloon. Last month, the company unveiled the sportier XE S model, but today the company revealed the full details and pictures of the standard model to rival Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The Jaguar XE range will start with the “SE” trim which is equipped with 17-inch rims, satellite navigation, DAB Audio, multi-functional steering wheel with leather cover, glossy black trim, etc. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 17-inch alloys.
The mid-level variant- “Prestige” gets all the features that are accessible in the SE trim. Adding to it, this model has heated leather front seats with contrasting stitches, blue ambient lightning and brushed aluminum inserts. Its top-of the line trim- Portfolio features Windsor leather, bi-xenon headlamps with LED DRLs, dual-tone instrument panel, Meridian sound system, 10-way electrically adjustable front seats, etc. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 18-inch wheels.
The R-Sport trim is basically the sportier XE sedan which is equipped with additional features. It sports Taurus heated leather front seats, dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels, glossy black window surrounds, etc. It also gets sports suspension, rear spoiler and chromed side vents to add some sporty character. The model unveiled last month- the Jaguar XE “S” features 19-inch alloys, beefier body and a glossy black centre console.
The Jaguar XE sedan will be available in both petrol and diesel guise. The oil burner is the 4-cylinder 2.0-litre Ingenium turbocharged motor that produces two states of tunes- 163bhp/380Nm and 180bhp/430Nm. Both engines will be paired to six-speed manual gearbox as standard, while an optional eight-speed ZF automatic transmission will also on offer.
The gasoline version gets the 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline engine that also offers two states of tunes- 200bhp/280Nm and 240bhp/340Nm. Both engines will be paired to the automatic transmission gearbox. The XE S variant gets the supercharged V6 3.0-litre engine rated at 340bhp and 450Nm of top torque. This model accelerates to 96kmph from zero in just 4.9 seconds and hits a top speed of 250kmph.
