Luxury car manufacturer Jaguar has recently announced the much-anticipated XE sedan at the recently concluded Geneva Motor Show. The sports sedan is likely to be unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The Jaguar XE in production body has been spotted during its cold weather testing. The Jaguar XE will compete against the likes of Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3 Series.

The Jaguar XE will be the first car to use the new iQ[AI] advanced aluminium architecture, which will also underpins the Jaguars future products including C-X17 based crossover. The company has officially announced that the XE sedan will be powered by the high performance 3.0-litre V6 engine that also does its duty in the F-Type. This engine is capable of developing 340bhp and 380bhp in F-Type S. It catches a top speed of 300kmph, which is quite impressive.
The Jaguar XE is also expected to get a more economical 2.0-litre engine. This engine is likely to feature the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission which sends the power to the rear wheels to all four wheels. The vehicle is expected to go on sale by the early 2015 in European nations, while the India launch likely to happen by second half of 2015.
