Isuzu Motors India has announced that it will hike prices of the D-Max pick-ups in the range of Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000 (ex-showroom). The price increase will be between 2 and 3 per cent across the commercial variants (D-Max Regular Cab and D-Max S-Cab) and the adventure and lifestyle pick up (D-Max V-Cross). The revised prices will be effective from September 1, 2018. The carmaker sites the hike in input and distribution costs.
Recently, the automaker appointed the legendary cricketer Jonty Rhodes as the brand ambassador. He will promote the lifestyle D-Max V-Cross pickup for the company. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross was introduced in 2016 and instantly became a hot choice among off-roading enthusiasts.

Currently, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is available with a 2.5L, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Reports in media suggest that the lifestyle pickup will soon receive an automatic variant. The new automatic version is likely to get a 5-speed AT with sequential shift & brake shift lock, supported by 4WD (four-wheel-drive) system. According to latest reports, Isuzu Motors is also working on the new-generation D-Max V-Cross and MU-X SUV. Both the models are likely to hit roads in the second half of 2019. The 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is likely to get infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity and driver assist technology such as adaptive cruise control.
