Interesting Facts about Upcoming Tata HBX and Tata Gravitas

After launching the Nexon facelift, upgraded Harrier and the Altroz, Tata Motors is now ready to launch 2 new cars in India in later half of this year. The company will introduce the HBX concept based subcompact SUV and the Gravitas 7-seater SUV before festive season Diwali. Here we tell you some interesting facts about the Tata’s upcoming SUVs – the HBX and the Gravitas –

1. HBX is 90% close to the production car

For people not in the know, Tata Motors had showcased the micro SUV as the H2X concept at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. The company unveiled the concept as the Tata HBX with some production elements at the 2020 Auto Expo. Tata Motors has confirmed that the HBX is over 90% close to the actual production car. Except for the oversized tyres and roof rack, and some front design elements, rest of the HBX’s design will remain intact in the production car as well. Continue reading…

2. Gravitas based on the OMEGA ARC platform

The Tata Gravitas 7-seater SUV is the brand’s second model to be based on the OMEGA ARC platform, which is based on Land Rover’s D8 platform. This platform was earlier used for the original Evoque and the Discovery Sport. Scheduled to be launched in mid-2020, the Gravitas will be the brand’s flagship model in India. 3. The HBX based on the ALFA ARC platform

The Tata HBX concept based micro SUV will be the brand’s second model to be based on Tata’s new ALFA (Agile, Light, Flexible, Advanced) architecture. 4. IMPACT 2.0 DESIGN Theme

The HBX and the Gravitas are designed on the company’s new IMPACT 2.0 design language, which we have already seen on the Harrier and the Altroz premium hatchback. Both models will have a slimmer signature grille with 3D Humanity line, tri-arrowed shaped fog lamps, prominent wheel arches and LED headlamps and taillamps.

5. Set to Join Tata’s Wide-Range of SUV

The new Tata HBX and the Gravitas SUVs are slated to be launched in the country by the end of this year. With these two new SUVs, Tata Motors will have an SUV in every segment. The HBX will be the smallest SUV, the Nexon will serve as a compact SUV, the Harrier will be the mid-sized SUV and the Gravitas will join the Hexa in the large SUV segment.
