India’s Top 6 New Bike Launches In 2021 – Specs, Details

In the next 6 months will be action-packed as several new bikes have been planned to launch in the country. Here’s a brief on the top 6 upcoming new motorcycles that will hit roads by the end of 2021.

Yamaha FZ-X

The all-new Yamaha FZ-X is ready to hit showrooms on coming 18th June. It’s a retro-styled motorcycle based on the Yamaha FZ and FZ-S, while its design elements are similar to the XSR series. Powering the bike will be a 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder motor that’s good enough for 12bhp and 13.3Nm. Compared to its naked sibling, the FZ-X will be longer (30mm), wider (4mm) and taller (5mm). It will be offered in three colour options – Black, Orange and Blue.

The new-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350 is one of the much-awaited new bike launches of this year. The model has already started arriving at dealerships across the country. And its launch is likely to happen in the next couple of months. The new Classic 350 will be based on the Meteor’s platform and derive power from the 349cc, fuel injected engine. It will be equipped with the Tripper navigation system along with a new digital analogue instrument console. Significant design changes will also be made to the bike.

The updated TVS Apache RR 310 was slated to launch in April 2021. However, it was delayed due to the second wave of lockdown. While the bikemaker is yet to be announced its new launch date, it’s likely to arrive in coming months. The official teaser reveals that the bike will receive a newly-designed headlamp along with a few more cosmetic updates. The model lineup might also get new colour schemes. At the heart of the 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 will be the same BS6-compliant 312.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine offering 33.5bhp and 273Nm.

Royal Enfield is working on a new 650cc cruiser motorcycle that’s reported to launch towards the end of 2021. Recently, the company trademarked Royal Enfield Shotgun nameplate in India. The moniker is likely to be used for the production-ready RE 650 cruiser. As per the spy pictures, the bike will have the conventional low-slung cruiser like profile with circular headlamp, large visor for wind protection, alloy wheels, slender fuel tank, split seats and a twin-pipe exhaust system. For power, the cruiser is likely to use a 649cc twin-cylinder engine that’s good for 47bhp and 52Nm. It will come with a 6-speed gearbox.

The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 250 motorcycles are reported to hit roads during 2021 festive season. Both models will witness significant design changes along with a pack of new features. The 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 250 will get newly-designed headlamp and taillamp, revised fuel tank, a new instrument console and Bluetooth connectivity. The bike will source its power from a new 250cc, air/oil-cooled engine that will deliver around 23-24bhp. The new Pulsar 250 might share its platform with the KTM 250 Duke. Its suspension mechanism will include the conventional telescopic forks upfront and monoshock at the rear. There will be front and rear disc brakes along with the dual-channel ABS. The bike will get the slipper clutch.

If reports are to be believed, the iconic Yezdi brand will return to India during 2021 festive season. The bike could be packed with a 293cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor borrowed from the Jawa bikes. The motor pushes out a peak power of 26.51bhp and 27Nm of torque. Transmission duties are likely to be carried over by a 6-speed gearbox. The new Yezdi bike is likely to be a new retro-classic Scrambler that was spotted testing in the country. The test mule features LED headlamp, LED taillamp, a digital console and dual-channel ABS.
