Lamborghini Urus SUV, which was launched in December last year, has finally arrived in the country. The Italian super luxury sports car manufacturer has delivered the Urus to its first customer in Mumbai. Only limited units of the super sports SUV have been allotted for the Indian market. Interestingly, all units for 2018 have already been sold out. So if you aspire to own one, you will have to wait till early 2019.

Priced at Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom), the Lamborghini Urus sits on MLB platform that also underpins the Porshce Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga and Audi Q7. Powering the beast is a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine delivering a whopping 650bhp at 6,800rpm and 850Nm of torque at 2,240rpm – 4,500rpm. Read – Upcoming Cars Under Rs 10 Lakh

Lamborghini claims that the SUV can accelerate 0-100kmph in 3.6 seconds and 200kmph in 12.8 seconds. The Urus offers a maximum speed of 305kmph, thus making it the world’s fastest SUV. It comes with an 8-speed torque converter, supported by the rear-wheel-steering system. Design of the Lamborghini Urus looks aggressive with aerodynamics and bold stance. Some of its styling bits include laser sharp LED headlamps, stylish mesh grille, a coupe roofline with raked windscreen and LED taillamps with Lamborghini badge in the centre. Suspension setup of the new Lamborghini SUV includes adaptive and adjustable unit, thus making it compatible for race track and uneven surfaces. Interestingly, the Urus comes fitted with the world’s largest brakes (440mm front and 370mm rear carbon ceramic brakes) along with a pack of electronic aids.
