India’s First AI Enabled Electric Bike – Revolt RV400 – Launched
Revolt RV400, India’s first AI (Artificial Intelligence) enabled and connected motorcycle, has finally been launched in the country. It’s a feature-packed electric bike that takes head-to-head against the Ather 450 and the upcoming Tork T6X. The bikemaker also rolled out a smaller capacity version of the bike called – Revolt RV300.
One can own the Revolt RV300 by paying Rs 2999 per month for 37 months. The Revolt RV400 and its premium variant can be purchased by paying Rs 3499 and Rs 3999 per month for 37 months respectively. The company is offering an unlimited ownership and battery warranty along with 5 years/75,000km product warranty.
Powering the all-new Revolt RV400 is a pack of swappable lithium-ion batteries coupled with a 3000w electric motor generating 170Nm of torque. Revolt Intellicorp has designed its battery management system and ECU (electronic control unit) in-house, while its electric motor and battery have been imported. It’s capable to deliver an electric range of 156 kilometers (ARAI-certified) on a single charge in Eco mode. The RV400 can attain a top speed of 85kmph. It offers three modes – Eco, City and Sport.
The electric bike comes with a host of connectivity features including OTA (Over-the-Air) updates, cloud connectivity, geo-fencing and remote diagnostics. The Revolt RV400 also comes with an embedded 4G LTE SIM providing internet connection. Interestingly, the rider can get a view of the motorcycle via Revolt mobile app that’s powered by telematics data collected from the 4G enabled IOT device.
In order to further enhance riding experience, the bikemaker has loaded the Revolt RV400 with features such as bike start/stop via Bluetooth, bike location with map guide, bike diagnostic and statistics, real time bike information, swap order history, finding the nearest swap station, sound preview, user trips and details, ordering battery for delivery at user location and change motorcycle sound and volume.
The list of features also includes LED projector headlamp, DRLs, LED taillamp, LED turn signal lamp, 17-inch tyres, a digital console and front and rear disc brakes along with Combi Brake System (CBS). The Revolt RV400 is IP67 certified that means it offers better water wading ability compared to any other motorcycle. The Revolt RV400 comes in a choice of two colour schemes – Rebel Red and Cosmic Black.
The Revolt RV400 comes with an optional connected helmet with speakers and microphone. It has Google powered system to voice activate the motorcycle. The electric bike comes with four charging options – mobile swap station, on-board charging, delivery on demand option and portable charging. The bikemaker aims to setup mobile battery swapping stations across cities in which they operate.
