Honda has launched the new generation Jazz hatchback in the Malaysian market at RM 73,000 (Rs. 13.76 lakh). The bookings for the car have already been commenced and deliveries are also expected to start this month. This model will also make its way to Indian market by the early next year. The all-new Jazz is offered in 3 variants- S, E and V in petrol version only.
Based on Honda’s new global design identity, the “Exciting H Design!!!”, the all-new Honda Jazz exhibits the perfect blend of elegance and sportiness. Its exterior design concept of “Crossfade Monform Exterior” gives it a substantial lower body, emphasizing width and stability.
The Malaysian model is powered by the tried & trusted 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC petrol mill that is capable of developing 117bhp and 145Nm of torque. It is paired to a newly designed CVT gearbox which transmits power to front wheels of the hatchback. On the other hand, India will also get the oil burner which will be powered by the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine producing 99bhp and 200Nm of torque.
Inside the cabin, the all-new Jazz accentuates Honda’s popular “Man Maximum, Machine Minimum” philosophy. It has versatile magic seats with four configuration models, larger cabin space, enhanced shoulder and rear leg room as well as boot space. The top-spec model is equipped with an advanced 7-inch display touch audio with mirrorlink function, multi information combination meter, touch panel automatic air conditioning and smart entry with push start button. The multi-function steering wheel features the advanced Hands Free Telephone Control and Voice Recognition Control.
When it comes to safety, this hatchback gets six airbags, emergency stop signal, vehicle stability assist, G-CON body and ISO Fix. All 3 variants are available in five colors: New Tinted Silver (new colour to coincide with the All-New Jazz), Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic, Taffeta White, Crystal Black Pearl and Modern Steel Metallic.
