It has been a while since car manufacturers are launching global products in the Indian car market. At the ongoing 2014 Paris Motor Show, globally renowned car makers have introduced several India-bound cars. This indicates that India is a big market for these European as well as other auto giants. Here is a list of car, unveiled in Paris, coming to Indian market.

New Honda Jazz, HR-V and CR-V

Honda unveiled three exciting cars in the show- new Jazz, HR-V and CR-V. The all-new Jazz was unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show, and it will go on sale in India in early 2015. The second product is likely to be HR-V SUV; however, the company is still in dilemma whether to launch this SUV or a cheaper SUV based on Brio platform. The changes given to the CR-V SUV is minimal, but the vehicle looks appealing and features a new 160PS, 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine. It is speculated that the company will launch the CR-V diesel in late 2015 in the country.

New Volkswagen Passat

Volkswagen is aiming to launch a series of new cars and facelifts in the market. The company will launch new Jetta soon and the new generation Passat saloon by 2015. The 8th generation Passat is slightly shorter than the previous model and gets new fascia. It is said that the new model will be offered in both petrol and diesel guise. The oil burner is expected to be fuel efficient.

Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift

Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift

The Mercedes B-Class facelift gets subtle changes to both styling and mechanics of the car. It features redesigned grille flanked by redesigned headlights, new bumper with large air dams and the optional LED lightings. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to new alloy wheels. Inside, the vehicle gets new 3-spoke steering wheel, 8-inch infotainment system, etc.

Jaguar XE

British automaker, Jaguar will launch the XE sedan in the country in mid-2015. Set to rival the three big Germans- Audi A4, BMW 3-Series sedan and Mercedes C-Class, the XE gets fuel efficient and powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel and petrol engines.

Yes, BMW will launch the X6 facelift in the Indian car market soon. It is expected to hit Indian shores by year end or early 2015. The vehicle looks largely resembles the current model, but the company has made some smart tweaks to keep things fresh.

Audi introduces the A6 facelift in Paris, which has Audi’s Matrix LED lighting system. Its wheel arches have been fitted to new alloy wheels. The slightly tweaked grille and restyled bumpers give it a fresh appeal. Inside the cabin, the 2015 A6 features new MMI system which is equipped with a more powerful Nvidia graphics card.

The Swedish automaker, Volvo will launch the highly rated 2015 XC90 SUV in the country next year. It offers a completely new design language of Volvo. Based on the company’s new SPA (Scalable Platform Architecture) which will also underpins the next generation S60 and XC60.

Dacia Lodgy (Renault Lodgy)

Dacia has unveiled the Lodgy Stepway at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. It gets smart upgrades to exterior, which we usually see in the crossover and SUVs to offer rugged road presence. Features like skid plates finished in a satin-chrome shade, fog lamps with satin chrome surrounds, dark finish for the roof rails and wing mirrors and black plastic cladding all around the car offers a sporty touch to it. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 16-inch alloy wheels.
