Japanese car manufacturer, Honda will unveil the 2015 CR-V facelift at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Ahead of its official unveiling, the company has released the images and details of the car. The updated CR-V is already on sale in the US market, but the European spec model gets new diesel engine and several upgrades.

The vehicle gets a lowered suspension setup, new and sportier alloys and compact protection guard on the front bumper. Adding to it, the vehicle gets matte chrome trim accents instead of glossy and a shark fin antenna. Other than these changes, the CR-V facelift gets restyled grille complemented by sleeker headlamps, new fog lamps, skid plate and bumper. At the back, the vehicle gets LED combination lamps, new bumper and restyled tailgate design.

The major change is given to the mechanics of the SUV. The CR-V facelift gets a new-generation 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine that produces 158bhp and 350Nm of top torque. This engine replaces the current 2.2-litre i-DTEC diesel engine producing 148bhp and 350Nm of top torque. This engine is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission gearbox. Also, the vehicle is offered with a new 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The 2-wheel drive version of the CR-V crossover will continue to feature the 118bhp, 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel unit. The petrol model with 2.0-litre i-VTEC in both 2WD and 4WD with manual or automatic gearbox will also be on offer.
