Japanese car manufacturer Suzuki has launched the 2014 Swift facelift in UK. The vehicle gets styling upgrades to both inside and outside along with some added features. The Swift facelift is also coming to India, and if reports to believe the company will launch the 2014 model in July this year.
The Suzuki Swift facelift is powered by a Euro 5 compliant 1.2-litre engine with Dual VVT that produces 94PS at 6,000rpm with a torque figure of 118Nm at 4,800rpm. It returns an impressive fuel economy of 56.5mpg (20kmpl) on the EC combined cycle for the manual transmission model with 2WD.
In UK, the Swift is now offered in four trims- SZ2, SZ3, SZ4 and Sport with 1.6-litre engine. In addition to seven airbags and ESP as standard, SZ2 has front passenger airbag deactivation facility, electric front windows, remote central door locking with deadlocks, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, MP3 / WMA compatible CD tuner with USB port and steering wheel mounted audio controls. SZ3 adds air conditioning, 16-inch alloy wheels, integrated audio unit and bluetooth connectivity with music streaming facility.
All Swift models are now equipped with LED daytime running lamps and front fog lights. A gear shift indicator and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System have been added in the car. The top spec SZ4 trim gets navigation and DAB digital radio as standard. The other features include automatic air conditioning, electric rear windows, rear privacy glass (five door models), push button keyless start, automatic headlamps, cruise control and power folding mirrors with integrated turn indicators.
