Hyundai Verna gets new GL variant

With the introduction of the fourth-generation Honda City, the competition in the mid-sized sedan market is getting furious. To counter the growing demand for the new City, the South Korean automaker is all set to launch a new CX variant of Verna sedan in the market. Recently, the company introduced the top-of-the line SX(O) variant of Verna, which comes loaded with several high end features, and now with the new CX model, Hyundai is all set to present a strong competition against the feature rich City.

The top-end variant SX (O) comes loaded with features like projector headlamps, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, illuminated power window switches, smart key with illuminated start button, chrome outside door handles, automatic headlight control and safety escort headlamp.

The new CX variant will be placed between the EX and XS models. It is expected that the Verna CX will derive its power from the 1.4-litre CRDI engine. Currently the website of Hyundai India is not showing the CX variant in the list.

The South Korean auto-maker, Hyundai India is feeling the heat from New Honda City, which has all the important equipment to clinch the title of C segment leader from Hyundai. The company will equip the CX variant with some exciting features such as automatic climate control, 2 Din audio surroundings system, steering mounted controls, rear-parking camera with sensors, ABS and driver side airbag.
