Hyundai Venue records 2,000 Bookings in a single day

Hyundai Venue compact SUV bookings open at Rs 21,00

Hyundai had started taking pre-orders for the much-awaited Venue compact SUV on May 2, 2019. The company has revealed the SUV has been receiving overwhelming response from buyers. In fact, the Hyundai Venue has recorded over 2,000 pre-bookings within 1 day. Interested buyers can pre-book the Venue online or via dealerships by paying an initial token amount of Rs 21,000.

Going by the sheer booking numbers, it is evident that the Hyundai Venue has the potential to rule the sub-4 meter SUV segment. The sub-4 meter SUV segment is currently dominated by Maruti Vitara Brezza, though Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300 have also been doing good numbers for their respective brands. The Hyundai Venue will officially go on sale in the Indian market on May 21, 2019.

The Hyundai Venue compact SUV will be available in 4 trim levels – E, S, SX and SX (O) – and in total of 13 variants spread across 2 petrol and 1 diesel engine option. The SUV will be available in 3 engine options – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 1.4-litre U2 CRDI diesel. While the naturally aspirated unit produces 83bhp and 115Nm, the 3-cylinder turbo unit pushes out 118bhp and 172Nm. The oil burner is good for 89bhp and 220Nm. The Hyundai Venue will be offered in 10 colour options – Star Dust, Polar White, Fiery Red, Deep Forest, Lava Orange, Typhoon Silver and Denim Blue. The dual-tone paint schemes comprises of Denim Blue/Polar White roof, Polar White/ Phantom Black roof and Lava Orange/ Phantom Black roof. The dual-paint option is only available in the 1.0L SX and 1.4 SX variants.
