Hyundai Venue receives over 15000 Bookings and 50,000 enquiries

Prices for the Hyundai Venue start at Rs 6.50 lakh for the base variant which goes up to Rs 11.10 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant

Hyundai has recently launched the Venue sub-4 meter SUV in the country. The new sub-4 meter SUV has been receiving excellent response from buyers. Hyundai claims that the Venue has received over 15,000 bookings so far. In fact, the company has received over 50,000 enquiries for the compact SUV. Bookings for the SUV were commenced in April 2019, and Hyundai received 2000 pre-orders after the very first day of the commencement of the bookings.

The Hyundai Venue compact SUV is available in 4 trim levels – E, S, SX and SX (O) in petrol and diesel guise. Prices for the petrol variant start at Rs 6.50 lakh for the base variant which goes up to Rs 11.10 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant. On the other hand, the diesel Venue is priced at Rs 7.75 lakh for the entry level model and Rs 8.84 lakh for the range-topping variant. All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The Hyundai Venue is available in 3 engine options – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel. The naturally aspirated engine is capable of producing 83bhp and 115Nm, while the 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine is capable of producing 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. The oil burner is good for 89bhp and 225Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual (1.2L Petrol Only), a 6-speed manual (1.0L petrol & 1.4L diesel) and a 7-speed DCT automatic (1.0L petrol only). The petrol manual is claimed to return 17.50 lakh, while the 1.0L DCT model delivers 18.15kmpl. The diesel version is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 23.7kmpl. The Hyundai Venue sub-4 meter SUV directly rivals the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra XUV300. It shares design cues from the bigger Hyundai SUVs including Kona and Palisade. The side and rear profile resembles the Creta. It gets the signature chrome-studded cascading grille, dual-headlamp setup, faux skid plates, roof-integrated spoiler, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, etc. It is called the ‘Connected Car’, featuring an in-built e-SIM for connected solution – Hyundai BlueLink.
