Hyundai Motor India has announced that the Venue subcompact SUV will cross the 1 lakh booking mark by the end of the calendar year 2019. The South Korean carmaker has sold 51,257 units of the Hyundai Venue ever since its launch in the country. Now, the South Korean carmaker has started exporting the Hyundai Venue to overseas markets. Recently, the company shipped 1400 units of its Made-in-India models to South Africa where it will see a release on 2nd December (today). In near future, Hyundai will also manufacture and export the Left-Hand-Drive (LHD) version of the subcompact SUV to the Latin America, Africa and Middle East.
Hyundai Venue is India’s first connected car that comes loaded with a pack of class-leading features include climate control operations, SOS alert, remote engine start and Indian accented English voice assist system. It has also been equipped with Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology along with wireless charging, an 8.4-inch HD display screen, Arkamys sound system, a sunroof and more. Engine setup of the Hyundai Venue includes a 1.0L, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol, a 1.2L, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.4L, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel unit. The 1.0L and 1.2L gasoline motors make 118bhp with 172Nm and 82bhp with 114Nm respectively. The 1.4L oil burner is good enough for 89bhp and 220Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic unit.
