The South Korean automaker has stopped taking online bookings for the existing Hyundai Venue subcompact SUV. The model has been delisted from the company’s official website. Just so you know, the Venue is ready to receive its first mid-life update in coming weeks. Its official launch date, however, is yet to be announced. We have seen the new 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift multiple times during its test rounds in the country. In fact, its latest 3D rendering gives us a fair idea how the updated model will look like.
New 2022 Hyundai Venue
Unofficial bookings for the new Venue facelift have already been commenced across the nation. Design of the SUV’s updated model will be slightly different from the existing one. At the front end, it will feature Hyundai’s parametric grille as we have seen on the new-generation Tucson. While the front bumper will be revised and has faux skid plates, the split headlamp setup and fog lamp assembly will be carried forward from the pre-facelift model. The 2022 Venue will have newly-designed alloy wheels and tweaked taillamps with LED elements.
Hyundai might equip the Venue facelift with the new seat upholstery and interior theme. It might also get a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a 360 degree camera, Bose audio system, front parking sensors and ventilated front seats.
No changes are expected to be made under the hood. Similar to the current model, the new 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift will come with the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol (83PS), 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel (100PS) engines. The subcompact SUV model lineup will continue to come with the 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox options.
With some noticeable exterior and interior updates, the new Venue facelift is expected to witness a minor price hike. The pre-facelift model is currently available within the price range of Rs 7.11 lakh – Rs 11.84 lakh (ex-showroom).
