Hyundai Venue compact SUV will be launched in India on May 21, 2019
We informed you earlier that few Hyundai dealers have unofficially started accepting the pre-orders for the much-awaited Venue sub-4 meter SUV. The SUV is scheduled to be launched on May 21, 2019. A new media report claims that the Hyundai Venue compact SUV official bookings will commence from May 2, 2019, though the company is yet to make an official announcement on the same.
The report further claims that Hyundai will follow the Santro’s booking strategy. This means that prospective customers can pre-book the new Hyundai Venue online as well as via dealerships. Few dealers are charging up to Rs 50,000 for the pre-bookings for the small SUV. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 8 lakh – Rs 12 lakh. The Hyundai Venue compact SUV will be available in 3 engine options – a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.4-litre CRDi diesel. While the turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine is capable of producing 118bhp and 172Nm, the naturally aspirated unit is good for 83bhp and 115Nm. The oil burner is good for 89bhp and 220Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual (1.2L Petrol), a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch (1.0L petrol). The Hyundai Venue compact SUV is equipped with the brand’s advanced connectivity solution BLUE LINK, which offers 33 connected features out of which 10 are India specific. The vehicle gets tampered proof device with in-built e-SIM. The sub-4 meter SUV gets a 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Some of the features include electric sunroof, wireless charging, cruise control, keyless entry, automatic climate control, rear AC, LED daytime running lights, etc.
