Hyundai Venue: India’s First SUV to offer 33 Connected Car Features

The much-anticipated Hyundai Venue sub-4 meter SUV will make global debut on April 17, 2019. Ahead of the official debut, Hyundai has announced that the new Venue SUV will come with a range of connected car options. This will make it the first car in its category to offer built-in advanced connected technologies. The SUV will be fitted with the most advanced Connectivity solution – ‘Hyundai BlueLink’, which will offer 33 features out of which 10 would be India specific features.

Hyundai claims that the BlueLink has been developed for the customers keeping in mind their day-to-day needs. The SOS (Save Our Souls), Road Side Assistance and BlueLink button are on the Inside Rear View Mirror (IRVM) for easy accessibility. It also provides first in industry safety features like Vehicle Theft Tracking and Immobilization for recovery of stolen vehicles. Other features include the Speed Alert, Geo Fence Alert, Panic Notification and Share Destination. The remote control functions like Engine Start/Stop, Climate Control, Door Lock/Unlock, Horn Honk & Light and Vehicle Status will further improve the driving experience of the Indian customers.

Hyundai BlueLink has an in-built and tamper-proof device powered by Vodafone eSIM and a Cloud-based Voice Recognition platform from Global AI Company. The device will provide Real Time Traffic navigation and Live Local Search in collaboration with a global Map company. It also has the Interactive Voice Recognition and the ability to catch any local English accent, which has been developed specifically for customers from different regions in India. In terms of safety features, the Hyundai BlueLink offers Automatic Crash Notification and Assistance, SOS Emergency Assistance and Roadside Assistance. Other features include Emergency Alerts, Medical and Panic Assistance, Geo-fence, which will send a text alert if the driver has ventured outside prescribed geographical location or time; and stolen vehicle notification and vehicle immobilization.

The Hyundai Venue sub-4 meter SUV will be available with 3 engine options – an all-new 100bhp, 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol, a 99bhp, 1.4-litre petrol and a 89bhp, 1.4-litre diesel. The 1.0-litre petrol engine will be paired to a dual-clutch automatic gearbox, making it the only model to offer this gearbox. A six-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels will come as standard.
