Hyundai Venue Gets 33,000 Bookings; 1,000 Units Delivered Today

Hyundai Venue comes in the price range of Rs 6.50 lakh – Rs 11.10 lakh.

It’s been a month, the South Korean carmaker marked its entry in the subcompact SUV space with the Hyundai Venue. Touted as India’s first connected car, the Venue has been doing really well for the company thanks to its feature-packed interior, modern design, frugal engines and of-course the aggressive pricing. The carmaker has announced that the Hyundai Venue has received 33,000 bookings along with 2 lakh enquiries. Today, Hyundai has delivered 1,000 units of the Venue SUV.

Hyundai Venue comes with three powertrains (82bhp, 1.2L  petrol, 118bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol and 89bhp, 1.4L diesel) and three transmission options – a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission). The Venue’s DCT petrol accounts almost 35 per cent of the total bookings.

The Hyundai Venue offers multiple segment-first features including SOS alert, remote engine start, voice assist system, an 8.4-inch HD display screen, Arkamys sound system,  wireless charging, eco-coating, a sunroof, air purifier, wheel air curtains and climate control operation. In the subcompact SUV segment, the Hyundai Venue takes on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport. Prices of the Venue petrol variants start from Rs 6.50 lakh and go up to Rs 11.10 lakh. The diesel models are available in the price range of Rs 7.75 lakh – Rs 10.84 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Compared to most of its arch rivals, the Hyundai Venue makes a slightly more affordable deal.
