Hyundai Venue dual-tone and feature-loaded Interior Revealed

The Hyundai Venue gets 33 connected car features out of which 10 are India-specific.

Hyundai Motor India is gearing up for the debut of the much-awaited Venue sub-4 meter SUV on April 17, 2019. The SUV will also make global debut at the 2019 New York Motor Show. Hyundai has recently released the design sketches of the exterior and interior of the SUV. Now, the company has released a new sketch of the interior of the Hyundai Venue. The new sketch reveals the dashboard design and colour scheme along with features on offer.

The Hyundai Venue will come with a dual-tone interior scheme. It features a large 8.0-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also visible is an automatic transmission. The dual-tone scheme is also offered on the seats and the door trims. Hyundai has already revealed that the Venue will be fitted with the advanced Blue Link connectivity technology, which will offer 33 connected car features out of which 10 are India specific.

The new Hyundai Blue Link comes with a smartphone application and an embedded eSIM from Vodafone for in-car internet connectivity. Some of the features include speed alert, geo-fencing, SOS, panic notifications, destination sharing and road-side assistance and others. The Hyundai Venue sub-4 meter SUV will be offered with 3 engine options – an all-new 1.0-litre T-GDi turbo petrol engine, a 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre turbo diesel. The new turbo petrol engine is capable of producing 100bhp of power and 172Nm of torque. While the 1.4L petrol engine is good for 99bhp, the oil burner produces 89bhp and 225Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The 1.0-litre petrol engine will also be fitted with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Media reports claim that the new Hyundai Venue compact SUV will be launched on May 21, 2019, though official announcement is yet to be made. The sub-4 meter SUV will directly rival the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and the Mahindra XUV300.
