Hyundai Tucson Facelift Launch Will Be Held Virtually On July 14

Hyundai has officially announced that the new Tucson facelift will be launched in the Indian market on July 14. The company has announced to organise Hyundai’s first and biggest virtual work ‘The Next Dimension’, which is claimed to be industry first and most advanced virtual-reality experience.

The Hyundai Tucson facelift was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. Dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the SUV at a token amount of Rs 25,000. The updated model will come in 3 trim levels – GL 2WD, GLS 2WD and GLS 4WD (Diesel Only). The SUV will be offered with 2 BS6-compliant engines – a 182bhp, 2.0L diesel and a 150bhp, 2.0L petrol. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed automatic, 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic. The SUV offers 3 driving modes – Eco, Comfort and Sport.

Similar to the new breed of Hyundai’s including Creta, Venue, Elantra facelift and Verna facelift, the upcoming Tucson facelift will receive the new and upgraded BlueLink connected car application. This system offers a wide range of connected car features including Remote Engine Start/Stop, Remote climate control, door lock/unlock remotely and others.

It also offers location-based and alert services such as real-time traffic, Geo-fencing, real-time vehicle tracking, destination send to car, etc. The SUV is also expected to receive voice-based functions with a wake word – Hello Bluelink. This offers features like voice assist dialing, radio and media control, navigation and others.

The Hyundai Tucson facelift will be equipped with high-end features as standard. The feature-list include leather touch dashboard, panoramic electric sunroof, 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 8-way electrically adjustable co-driver seat, wireless charger, cooled glovebox and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The pent LED projector headlamps, cornering lamps, electric parking brake and power tail gate will come as standard, while the dynamic stability control will be offered with the top-spec GLS 4WD trim. The SUV also gets downhill brake control, hill control assist, electronic stability control and others.
