Cars priced under the Rs 10 lakh bracket are quite popular among the first time buyers and family car buyers. The market is already flooding with options with value for money products. And in coming years, the numbers of models will increase two folds. Here, we pick the top 5 upcoming SUVs that will be priced under Rs 10 lakh bracket.

1. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso

The Indo-Japanese carmaker had unveiled the Maruti Suzuki Future S concept at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The production version of the concept will be named Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. While the official launch details of the mini SUV is yet to be announced, it likely to go on sale before 2019 festive season. Similar to Maruti Suzuki’s new breed cars, the S-Presso will be built on Suzuki’s Heartect platform that meets the upcoming crash tests and safety regulations. The spy pictures reveal that the production –ready S-Press will stay close to its concept. Interior of the mini SUV is a mystery yet. Though, it might get Suzuki’s SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. For power, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso might get the WagonR’s BS6-ready 1.0L K-Series petrol engine. Transmission on offer could be a manual and an AMT unit.

2. Tata H2X

Tata Motors has a handful of new products for the Indian market, and one of them is the Tata H2X mini SUV. At this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the carmaker showcased the H2X concept featuring tall and boxy stance. Internally know as Tata Hornbill, the mini SUV might make its public debut in its production avatar at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo. The H2X will share its platform with the Altroz premium hatcbhack that’s slated to launch during 2019 festive season. The micro SUV will feature the second-generation Impact 2.0 Design philosophy. Under the hood, the Tata H2X might house the Tiago’s BS6-ready 84bhp, 1.2L petrol engine or Altroz’s 100.5bhp, 1.2L petrol motor. In terms of features, it could share some of its equipment with the Tiago and the upcoming Altroz.

3. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Facelift

Maruti Suzuki’s top-selling compact SUV – Vitara Brezza – is ready to receive its first mid-life update. The SUV’s facelifted version will come with minor design changes and a few new features. It might get a revised front grille, LED projector headlamps, newly-designed bumpers and new tail lamps. Inside, the vehicle is likely to get new seat upholstery and a new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system. Major changes are likely to make under the skin. The 2019 Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift might get a new 1.5L DdiS 225 diesel engine, which is developed in-house. It will be capable of 94bhp and 225Nm of torque. The SUV might also receive a new 1.5L K15B or a 1.0L Boosterjet petrol engine.

4. Toyota’s Vitara Brezza

Toyota recently introduced its first re-badged vehicle under its partnership with Maruti Suzuki – the Toyota Glanza. The next re-badged model to go on sale will be a compact SUV based on Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Besides wearing Toyota’s signature badge, the re-badged Vitara Brezza will look slightly different than the original model. The SUV might receive a new front grille, revised bumpers, slightly tweaked headlamps, a new pair of alloy wheels and re-designed tail lamps. Powering Toyota’s Vitara Brezza could be the same BS6-complaint petrol engine that will be soon introduced in the Brezza.

5. Tata Nexon Facelift

New Tata NexonWith an aim to boost sales of its top-selling subcompact SUV, Tata Motors will give a mid-life update to the Nexon sometime next year. The updated model will carry the new Impact 2.0 design language along with subtle cosmetic changes. It might get the Harrier-inspired front grille, newly-designed bumpers and new alloy wheels. The subcompact SUV might come with an updated infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Engine setup, however, will remain unchanged. Though, the car might get the BS6-compliant version of the existing 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel powertrains.
