Hyundai Stargazer, the new Multi-Purpose Van (MPV) from the South Korean automaker, was recently unveiled in Indonesia. The model will make its first public debut on 11th August at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Prices of the model start from IDR 243,300,000 (approx. Rs 12.97 lakh) to IDR 307,100,000 (approx. Rs 16.37 lakh).
In Indonesia, the new Hyundai MPV will be offered with the 1.5L MPI petrol engine only. The motor pushes out a peak power of 115bhp and it can be had with either a 6-speed manual or an IVT (CVT) automatic gearbox.
The Stargazer a 6-seater MPV with captain seats in the middle row and bench seat in the third row. It comes with sporty all-black interior theme with neat layout. Major highlight of the new Hyundai Stargazer is the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite that offers blind spot, lane keeping assist, rear cross traffic collision avoidance and automatic emergency braking. It has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, automatic AC and full LED lighting.
Design and styling of the new Hyundai MPV seems inspired by the Staria. Upfront, the model features vertically-placed quad-pod LED headlamps and connected width-spanning LED DRLs running across the sloping bonnet. It also carries slightly pronounced wheel arches, alloy wheels, H-styled connected LED taillamps and roof line spoiler.
India Launch Plans?
Talking about its India launch, the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed its plan to launch the new Hyundai Stargazer in India. Though, the model is likely to make its way here to challenge the dominance of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. If launched, it will also take on the Maruti Suzuki XL6 and Kia Carens.
