Hyundai Shares Fake Palisade N Images; But Looks Exciting

Hyundai Palisade N Rendering 2

We reported earlier that Hyundai is considering the Palisade global SUV for the Indian market. It is equipped with a 3.8-litre V6 engine that produces 291bhp of power and 355Nm of torque. The SUV looks stylish and offers comfortable driving experience. If media reports are to be believed, Hyundai is developing the N performance oriented version of the Palisade SUV.

The Hyundai Palisade N renderings available on the Internet were fake, but give us a fair idea of the possible design of the future model. On the April Fools day, the South Korean automaker shares the Palisade N images with a joke on instagram. However, we believe that Hyundai should seriously think of bringing the performance oriented version of this SUV.

In terms of styling, the Hyundai Palisade N rendering features the company’s signature Blue body paint scheme with contrasting black treatment and red stripes. The SUVs ground clearance has been reduced to offer sportier stance. The radiator grille is prominent, while the front air-dam and quad exhaust pipes are newly styled elements. The Hyundai Palisade N also gets aerodynamic roof spoiler.

In terms of proposition, the Palisade is 4,980mm in length, 1,975mm in width and 1,750mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,900mm. This is slightly bigger than the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.

In India, the SUV will also receive a diesel engine option. It will be powered by a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel unit that churns out 200bhp of power and 441Nm of torque. Delivering power to the wheels is an 8-speed automatic gearbox with a multi-plate torque converter. The SUV comes with both two-wheel-drive (2WD) and HTRAC four-wheel-drive (4WD) options.
