Hyundai Santro Prices & Features To Be Revised

Hyundai Santro is likely to see a price hike up to Rs 15,000.

Hyundai India will soon update the model lineup of its popular hatchback – Santro. According to a leaked scan, the South Korean carmaker will discontinue the entry-level Era trim and the D-Lite will be named Era Executive. The new Era Executive base variant will feature body-coloured front bumper, dual-tone body-coloured rear bumper, front power windows and manual AC unit.

The Santro Magna petrol manual and Magna CNG variants will get 2 Din audio system with front speaker and USB and Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio controls and micro antenna. The Sportz AMT trim will receive passenger airbag, front seat belt pre-tensioner and rear parking camera. No changes will be made to the Magna AMT, Sportz, Sportz CNG and Asta trims. The carmaker will allocate the new Santro trims once they liquidate the existing spec stock at variant/colour level from the facility. Hyundai will also revise prices of the new Santro hatchback. While the official price list will be revealed in coming days, it’s likely to see a price hike up to Rs 15,000.

Currently, the petrol variants of the small car come in the price range of Rs 3.90 lakh – Rs 5.47 lakh. The Magna and Sportz CNG trims are available at Rs 5.24 lakh and Rs 5.65 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Read: 2020 Hyundai Grand i10 – 5 Big Expected Changes 

The Santro derives its power from the naturally aspired 1.1L, 4-cylinder petrol engine that’s good for 69bhp and 99Nm. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a new 5-speed AMT (developed by in-house). The hatchback returns a claimed mileage of 20.3kmpl.
