Hyundai Palisade Facelift In The Works – Spied

We reported earlier that Hyundai is considering the full-size Palisade 3-Row SUV for the Indian market. The company is rumoured to be working on a right-hand-drive version of the Palisade. A new report claims that Hyundai is already working on the updated version of the Palisade SUV.

A heavily camouflaged Hyundai Palisade was caught at a parking lot in South Korea. The overall profile remains the same, which suggests that the model could be an early prototype. The Hyundai Palisade is available with two petrol engines – a 277bhp, 3.5L V6 and a 295bhp, 3.8L V6. It is also available with a 200bhp, 2.2-litre turbo-charged diesel engine, which also powers the Kia Carnival.

It is quite early to comment on the design changes as the spotted model was covered with thick cloth. It is likely to share some of the design changes with the Santa Fe or Grandeur. With the updated model, Hyundai could introduce a hybrid version as well as right-hand-drive model. Also See – Hyundai Palisade – Top 10 Features On Offer

The front design of the prototype remains the same, featuring the same grille and headlamps. It is expected that the Palisade facelift will receive new safety pack as well as new IT system and technologies, which recently introduced in Genesis GV80 or Grandeur. The company has recently introduced the Pallisade Calligraphy trim in South Korea or US. This model gets several changes along with higher quality interior.

In India, Hyundai is gearing up for the launch of the much-awaited new-gen i20 hatchback. The new model is expected to be launched before Diwali, around October-November 2020. It will come with all-new design and better equipped interior along with new set of engines. The company is also readying an all-new compact MPV to rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Mahindra Marazzo.
