All-New Hyundai Lafesta Sporty Sedan Makes Global Debut!

Hyundai Lafesta design seems inspired from the Le Fil Rouge concept, which was unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

South Korean automaker, Hyundai has unveiled a new sedan at the Beijing Motor Show. Called Hyundai Lafesta, the sedan will only be sold in China. It is based on the Hyundai Elantra sedan, however, it comes with several design and mechanical updates including suspension set-up.

Hyundai Lafesta design seems inspired from the Le Fil Rouge concept, which was unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The Lafesta is a four-door sedan that comes equipped with a coupe-like roofline. Featuring sporty design, the new sedan is expected to be launched in the Chinese market by the end of this year. The Korean brand is aiming to target younger buyers with this model. The new Lafesta sedan is slotted somewhere between the Elantra and the Sonata. It measures 4,660mm in length and has a long wheelbase of 2,700mm, which makes its spacious from inside the cabin. The saloon is available with two engine options – a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol – which offers different power outputs ranging from 130bhp to 240bhp. Hyundai is not likely to launch this Lafesta sedan in India, as the model is based on the Elantra that is already on sale in India.
