Hyundai will launch the highly anticipated ix25 compact SUV in the Chinese market tomorrow. The vehicle will also make its way to the Indian car market next year. Unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show as pre-production concept, the production spec model will rival against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano. Ahead of its official launch, the technical specifications of the SUV have been revealed.

Hyundai ix25 compact SUV will be offered in petrol version only (Chinese Spec). It will be powered by the 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol motors, both coupled to 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions. The former makes 122.8bhp at 6,300rpm and 150.7Nm of torque at 4,850rpm. The 2.0-litre motor is capable of developing a top power output of 158 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 192 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm, and is offered in both 2WD and 4WD options. The 2WD variant can accelerate up to 187kmph.
