South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has officially released a teaser image of the much anticipated Hyundai ix25 compact SUV ahead of its world debut at the Beijing Auto Show. Few days back, the official image of the SUV hit the web, giving a clear idea about the styling of the car.
The Hyundai ix25 SUV share its styling cues with the current generation ix35. At the front, the vehicle sports wrap-around headlight cluster and aggressive lower front air-intakes which gets a pair of fog lamps, large skid plates. It also gets roof rails which offer a rugged SUV stance. Instead of split front grille which is available in ix35, the Hyundai ix25 gets hexagonal chrome grille that defines the company’s new design language.
Inside the cabin, the Hyundai ix25 compact SUVs central console features basic audio controls up high, while the lower section has climate control functions. The top spec model of the SUV is expected to get a large touchscreen infotainment system, automatic transmission gearbox and leather seats. The central console also sports vertically positioned air vents on the either side of the audio system. It features a leather wrapped steering wheel with phone, audio and cruise control functions.
Based on the new generation Hyundai i20, the ix25 SUV will be developed in China and is expected to go on sale by the end of this year. Measuring about 4.25 metres in length, the vehicle might also come to India. It will be offered in both petrol and diesel guise. The diesel version will get 1.4L and 1.6L turbocharged engines, while the petrol models are likely to sport 1.2-litre and a 1.4-litre petrol engines.
