South Korean automaker is set to launch the much-awaited ix25 compact SUV in China on October 9. The vehicle has been spotted quite regularly in China; however, this image of the Hyundai ix25 compact SUV comes from Korea.
First unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show as concept, the production version of the Hyundai ix25 will be unveiled at the Chengdu show in September. The picture suggests that the compact SUV looks similar to the concept shown; however, the company has made few changes to make it road compatible.
The production version SUV is equipped with a slightly toned down version of the LED daytime running lamps, while the concept had LEDs with larger DRLs strip. The skid guard is smaller in size compared to the one found in concept one. The side profile features aerodynamic crease running across the length to merge the rear tail lights. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to large alloy wheels. The car features black plastic cladding all around the car to offer more rugged road presence.
The Hyundai ix25 compact SUV will be offered in seven variants out of which, three comes with AWD system. The vehicle will be made available in two petrol engine options. While the base unit will be powered by the 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine, the top-spec models would feature a 2.0-litre unit.
