Hyundai Motors will unveil the production spec ix25 compact SUV at the 2014 Chengdu Motor Show on August 29. The vehicle has been snapped just outside the Beijing Hyundai hall. Unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, the crossover is likely to go on sale in China on October 9-10. The new spyshots fully revealed the interiors and exteriors of the compact SUV. This model looks quite identical to the concept shown; however, there are few tweaks visible on closer look. The ix25 compact SUV gets modern Hyundai’s Fluidic design philosophy, aggressive creases and curves all around the car. It is equipped with triple slat matte grille flanked by LED daytime running lamps. The bumper gets wide airdam and new fog lamp assembly, and there is silver skid plate positioned below the air intake.
At the back, the crossover has LED combination taillights. The flared wheel arches have been fitted to large diamond-cut alloy wheels and new wheel hub is complemented by black trim embellishment. The outside rear view mirrors come integrated with turn indicators. Also visible is the black plastic cladding all around the car and roof rails to offer more rugged road presence.
The interiors of the Hyundai ix25 are blessed with some exciting features. It is equipped with multi-functional three-spoke steering wheel and silver trim is added to the control are to give premium touch. The crossover features automatic air conditioning and an LCD screen multimedia system. The black colour seats get contrasting stitches and leather cover is found on steering wheel and gearbox. The overall fit and finish looks good, while the material quality should be top-notch. The company is also planning to launch the top-end Hyundai ix25 Sport variant which gets slightly different fascia. It has twin-slat front grille instead of the triple slat found in above images.
The Hyundai ix25 compact SUV is expected to be offered in seven variants and two petrol engines. The base unit is the 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine while the top spec models would feature a 2.0-litre unit. The Indian model is available in both petrol and diesel guise. It will share engine lineup with the Verna sedan- a 1.6-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel.
