The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV will come as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and is estimated to be priced somewhere around Rs 45 lakh to Rs 60 lakh. This electric crossover is designed and developed on the brand’s EV dedicated – E-GMP or Electric Global Modular platform. Hyundai will also use this platform to develop multiple new electric vehicles in our market by 2028. Not just Ioniq 5, Hyundai will also launch the updated Kona EV, Creta facelift, new Verna and a new micro SUV in our market in 2023.

The EV-dedicated platform allows Hyundai to create more space inside the cabin. The wheels on the Ioniq 5 are placed on the corners, which results into a longer wheelbase and more cabin space. This will also eliminate any hump in the middle that further improves the comfort levels for the middle occupant in the second-row seat.
