Hyundai, the South Korean automaker has finally launched the much-awaited i20 Active crossover in the country. The crossover is available in five variants-  and the prices starts at Rs. 6.38 lakh. The crossover is based on the popular Elite i20 and will compete against the likes of Fiat Avventura, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo.

Engine Specifications-

The Hyundai i20 Active crossover is available in both petrol and diesel guise. While the petrol version gets the 1.2-litre unit that produces 83PS of power and 115Nm of torque, the oil burner is the 1.4-litre U2 CRDi motor producing 90PS of power and 220Nm of torque.

Transmission Options– Five-speed manual (Petrol) and Six-speed manual (Diesel).

Mileage- 17.19kmpl petrol and 21.19kmpl diesel.

Talking about changes, the i20 Active gets new grille, headlight clusters with LED daytime running lamps, and projector headlights with cornering lights, new bumper with circular foglamp enclosures with skid guard. The side profile of the crossover gets new 16-inch alloy wheels, extra body cladding, new fuel cap, roof rails and gloss finish for the C-Pillars. At the back, the crossover gets new bumper that accommodates circular reflectors, skid plate and an ‘Active badge’.

The Hyundai i20 Active comes with newly styled interiors. The overall layout of the cabin remains the same; however, the crossover gets an all-black dashboard. The air-con vents rim, gear knob, switches for FM/AM and music players are finished in orange. Also, the seats get orange stitching. The vehicle comes in two dual-tone interior shades- tangerine orange & black and aqua blue & black.
