Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Will Soon Get CNG Variant – Report

All-new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios hatchback went on sale in India last week. The vehicle has been made available in 7 petrol and 3 diesel variants spread across four trims – Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta. Prices of the hatchback start from Rs 4.99 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

According to a fresh media report, the South Korean carmaker will soon add CNG variant to the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios model lineup. Similar to the previous model, the CNG kit could be offered on the Magna trim. The Grand i10 Nios CNG is likely to deliver the same power and torque outputs as the petrol model.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Details

Currently, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios comes with a BS6-ready 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol and a BS4-compliant 1.2L, 3-cylinder diesel engine options. While the former delivers 83bhp with 114Nm, the latter is good for 75bhp with 190Nm. Both powertrains are available with a 5-speed manual and AMT automatic gearbox. Design and styling of the new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is much more evolved than its predecessor. Features such as segment-first wireless charging, a USB charger at the front, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a leather wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls, a rear parking camera, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, a rear washer/wiper and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVM are reserved for the higher trims.
