Hyundai India introduced the Creta compact SUV in 2015 and it soon became one of the best-sellers for the South Korean carmaker in the country. It also went on to become the most prestigious ‘Índian Car Of The Year’ (ICOTY). Thanks to regular updates/special editions the car received, it kept fetching good numbers for the company.
Now, Hyundai will revive the model lineup with a new Creta SX+ dual-tone variant. Besides this, the company will also introduce a 7.0-inch touchscreen system on other models of the car. Price list and details of the 2017 Hyundai Creta model have already emerged on the web prior to its official launch. As per the leaked scans, the new SX+ dual tone variant will come with both 1.6L petrol (MT) and 1.6L CRDi diesel (MT) engines priced at Rs 12.33 lakh and s 13.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The company will also offer the Creta E+ grade with 1.4L CRDI U2 diesel powertrain, which will carry a price tag of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Talking about the changes, the new 2017 Hyundai Creta dual tone model will have Phantom Black roof and painted pillars with two exterior colour options – Read Passion and Polar White. Interior, too, will be slightly different than the regular model. The 2017 Hyundai Creta dual tone variant features an all black interior with red and black fabric upholstery adding more to its sporty appeal. As mentioned above, the 7-inch AVN system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto MirrorLink connectivity and an Arkamys Sound Mood system are new add-ons. However, the new Hyundai Creta E+ diesel version will miss out one some features such as Bluetooth, 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and steering mounted controls.
