Hyundai Creta Base Trims Get More Powerful 1.6L Engine, Price – Rs 10.88 lakh

A few days back, we have reported that the Hyundai Creta E+ and EX variants received the more powerful 1.6L, 4-cylinder diesel powertrain. Now, prices of the both models have been revealed online.

While the entry-level Hyundai Creta E+ has been priced at Rs 10.88 lakh, the EX comes with a price tag of Rs 11.92 lakh (all, ex-showroom). That means, the 1.6L E+ and EX are around Rs 90,000 more expensive than their 1.4L diesel-powered counterparts.

Hyundai Creta 2018 Facelift

The 1.6L diesel motor pushes out a maximum power of 128bhp against 260Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. While the manual gearbox is standard with the E+, EX, SX dual tone and SX (O) variants, the optional automatic transmission is available only with the SX variant. The 1.4L diesel engine, on the other hand, delivers power worth 90bhp with 220Nm of torque. The Hyundai Creta also comes with a 1.6L petrol engine generating a maximum power output of 121bhp and 151Nm of peak torque.

No other changes have been made to the Hyundai Creta 1.6L E+ and EX variants. The entry-level E+ offers basic features including a black/silver grille, dual-tone bumper, steel wheels, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs, air-conditioning, rear AC vents, electric tailgate release, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, front seat belt pretensioners with seat belt reminder, rear parking sensors and high speed alert. The EX trim additionally gets a 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, Hyundai i-Blue audio remote app, multi-function steering wheel, height-adjustable driver seat, adjustable front and rear headrests, rear centre armrest with cup holders and LED DRLs.
