Launched on 21st July 2015, the Hyundai Creta completed its first year in the Indian market. To celebrate the occasion, Hyundai India has launched the Anniversary Edition of the compact SUV at Rs 12.38 lakh (for the petrol variant) and Rs 13.76 lakh (for the diesel model), ex-showroom, Delhi. This makes the Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition Rs 39,000 more expensive than the regular SX+ variants.
Along with the Anniversary Edition, the South Korean carmaker has also introduced an Executive (E+) and a S+ Diesel Automatic variants of the compact SUV at Rs 10 lakh and Rs 13.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. Furthermore, the company also introduce a new Earth Brown colour option across all variants.

The Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition receives several cosmetic upgrades along with a bunch of features. Based on the Creta SX+ grade, this special edition is being made available in petrol and diesel variants. Hyundai India honored the country’s Badminton Icon – Saina Nehwal – by gifting the 1st Anniversary Edition of the Creta.
On the exterior, the Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition features contrasting black roof, silver skid plates, dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels (similar to SX (O) grade), black-painted C-pillar, body graphics and integrated spoiler. The interior of the Creta special edition is as premium and sporty as its exterior. The car gets a dual tone black and grey dashboard with red accents around the HVAC vents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, fabric upholstery with red inserts. Features on offer are same as the regular SX+ grade.

Since it’s just a special edition, no mechanical changes has been made to the car. Currently, the compact SUV is available with three powertrain options – 1.6-litre Dual VTVT petrol, 1.4-litre CRDi diesel and 1.6-litre U2 CRDi VGT diesel. The Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition comes with a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder VTVT petrol and 1.6-litre U2 CRDi VGT diesel engine options. While the gasoline unit is capable of pushing out a maximum power of 121bhp at 6,400rpm with 151Nm of torque at 4,850rpm, the oil burner produces 89bhp at 4,000rpm and 220Nm between 1,500rpm – 2,750rpm. Transmission duties are performed by a 6-speed manual gearbox.
