Hyundai had showcased the previous generation Creta at MIAS 2017; however, the model never launched in Philippine. This development suggests that the company has finally decided to introduce the SUV in 7-seater avatar in Philippine. In Asia, the Hyundai Creta is produced in India and China. And, Indonesia will become the third market to manufacture this SUV.

The Korean automaker is expected to launch the Creta 7-seater in the second half of 2021. The upcoming 7-seater Creta is likely to feature longer wheelbase to accommodate third row of seats. The longer version of the SUV will directly rival the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Gravitas and the Mahindra Scorpio.

The Alcazar will have captain seats for the 6-seater version. It will also get flexible seats to provide larger boot space. The upcoming Alcazar is likely to be offered with 2 engine options – a 138bhp, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and a 113bhp, 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be offer. It is likely to cost around Rs 13 lakh to Rs 18.5 lakh.
