Hyundai Creta 7-Seater Spied in India For The First Time

It is no secret that Hyundai is working on the 7-seater version of the Creta SUV. In fact, the SUV has been spotted testing multiple testing on the South Korean roads. For the first time, the upcoming new Hyundai Creta 7-seater SUV has been spotted testing in India.

The new Creta 7-Seater SUV was caught by a Youtube User – DCV Bikes. The video show the rider riding the Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R sportsbike, which crosses the heavily camouflaged SUV. This camouflaged model was the upcoming 7-seater version of the new-gen Hyundai Creta, which was launched in India in March 2020.

The 7-seater Hyundai Creta will be more premium and spacious than the regular 5-seater model. The new model will look largely identical to the Creta, but it will have slight changes like new radiator grille with chrome inserts similar to that of the Palisade. There is a bigger lower air intake and a smaller skid plate. However, the headlamp and fog lamp designs are likely to be sourced from the Creta.

The upcoming Hyundai Creta 7-seater SUV will have new side sills and roofline, new slimmer C-pillar and differently designed roof rails. The spotted model has similar alloys as the 5-seater model; however, the production car could receive a larger 17-inch clean silver alloy wheels. The rear of the spotted model was completely covered, which shows that the SUV has longer rear overhang to accommodate an additional third row of seats.

The interior of the new Hyundai Creta 7-Seater is expected to be similar to that of the standard model. The company could add more features like front parking sensors, configurable ambient lighting and a 360 degree camera to justify the premium tag with the bigger Creta.

The new 7-seater Creta SUV will directly rival the likes of the upcoming Tata Gravitas, MG Hector and the Mahindra XUV500. The SUV is expected to be launched in the late 2020 or early 2021. Engine options are likely to be sourced from the existing 5-seater model. It will be offered with 3 engine options – a 138bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5L petrol and a 113bhp, 1.5L diesel.
