South Korean automaker Hyundai will unveil the new generation Hyundai i20 premium hatchback at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The vehicle has already been spotted testing several times in India as well abroad including Spain, North Europe and South Korea. The new Hyundai i20 gets changes both inside and outside.
The rear end of the new generation Hyundai i20 will be equipped with a sporty and newly designed tail lamp assembly. It is based on the popular Hyundai Fluidic design philosophy; the new i20 looks like an extended version of the Grand i10 hatch. The front fascia of the hatchback gets new bumpers, front grille and a new set of headlamps.
On the inside, the new generation Hyundai i20 sports new dashboard. The vehicle gets new central console and instrument panel. It is equipped with advanced features such as automatic climate control, integrated music system, ABS with EBD and many more.
Mechanically, the new Hyundai i20 will remain unchanged. It will be powered by the same 1.2L petrol engine producing 83PS, while the oil burner will get the 1.4-litre CRDi unit that develops 93PS. It is expected to make its Indian debut by the festive season and will compete against the likes of Volkswagen Polo, Tata Bolt and Fiat Punto.
